As someone of middle eastern origins, being in a large metropolitan City in the heart of Europe such as Berlin was very exciting and intriguing, unlike someone else of western origins who would probably see the same city in a less intriguing manner. I was very surprised once, speaking to a German friend photographer who toured the world making photo projects in many unusual places, that he never made a single photo in his own country! Perhaps a foreign eye which is used to a totally different culture can discover there something new.
